SLH Neighbors.
Next Saturday is the "annual" clean up day for SLH. Come join us and to help to keep up with the Alders and such.
This year we would like to focus on the areas around the retaining ponds and along 82nd Street.
The plan will be to get started at the retaining pond at the end of 209TH and from there move to the area around around the pond on 213th by the entrance to the open areas that we normally hold the bonfire. Time and amount of help permitting, we will work on 82nd street to keep the alders and blackberries at bay.
Around dusk Saturday night, all are welcome to join us for a bonfire in the open area ( the area that is next to the retaining pond that leads into the walking trails off of 213th) .
This is a "bring you own beverages, chairs, marshmallows to roast, casual" affair and is a great opportunity for us to get together and continue the process of coming out of winter hibernation...
The plan will be to get started on the clean up around 11:00 AM. If you can come out and help, it would be appreciated by everyone. If you can't get started with us at 11:00 I am sure that work will be on-going for most of the day. If you can give is a couple hours...
If the weather turns out to be too bad, we will reschedule, but we are all accustomed to a little moisture,..
If you have any suggestions about areas that may need work that we have missed here, Let us know.
Some folks have already let us know that they have plans, but wanted to help out when they could. To this end, we will create a list of choirs to get done and have it ready if people have time that they can share.
Let us know if you think that you can help.
